For over ten years, the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in the Lower Rhine region of Germany has provided an innovative, interdisciplinary and international education to young minds from around the world. Research Associate with focus on Production and Economics

YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will support our professors by leading tutorials and practical courses in mechanical engineering (with a focus on production) and economics.
  • You will oversee experimental games in the aforementioned fields and be responsible for maintaining and servicing the related systems and equipment, as well as maintaining the software used.
  • You will organise and implement excursions for students.
  • You will support students working in our laboratories, e.g. with projects and thesis-related research.
  • You will contribute to research in the aforementioned fields.

YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have a completed master’s degree or equivalent, with good marks, in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a related field.
  • You are knowledgeable in the areas of fabrication technology, project and quality management, and production management.
  • You have working knowledge of business economics.
  • Due to the international nature of the Faculty of Technology and Bionics, you must have a good to excellent command of both German (B2) and English (C1).
  • Ideally, you are also knowledgeable in the areas of circular economies / sustainable production, or material flow analysis.
  • Programming skills or expertise in artificial intelligence are a plus.
