  • Scientific conceptualisation and implementation of research work within the Sustainable Land Use Systems group
    • Close cooperation with companies, universities and research partners
    • Presentation of research results at workshops and conferences and publication of results in national and international journals
    • Supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses and involvement in teaching
    • Support in the acquisition of additional third-party funding


  • An above-average degree (master or equivalent) in life sciences, biochemistry, biological resources, biology, agricultural sciences or a related discipline
    • Practical experience with molecular biology and biochemistry work
    • Experience of working with plants and knowledge of crop plants is an advantage
    • Strong motivation to conduct and publish high quality scientific research
    • Analytical and conceptual skills
    • Interdisciplinary mindset and interest in working with different disciplines • Gender and diversity competence desirable or the willingness to acquire this competence
    • High degree of independence, responsibility and team spirit
    • Very good English language skills, German language skills are an advantage
