Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering with a Focus on Product Design

German TV-L pay scale level EG13, fixed-term contract for max. 6 years according to § 14 Abs.1 S.2 Nr.3 (TzBfG), part-time with 75% of the average weekly hours of the full-time equivalent

Your tasks

  • Give lectures, exercises and practical training in English, primarily in the field of product design, for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Technology and Bionics
  • Supervise and support students during their internships in industry
  • Provide undergraduate and postgraduate thesis topics for students and companies, and supervise students currently writing their thesis
  • Define and organise internships and projects for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Technology and Bionics
  • Continue developing the faculty's digital teaching materials and offers

Your profile

  • You have a master's degree in hand in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Ideally you also have experience in the fields of construction and development / product design
  • You have at least 5 years of experience working in industry
  • You are a team player who enjoys working with young people
  • You are proficient in both written and spoken German and English
  • You have methodical and didactic skills, a high level of social competence and the ability to work independently
